Hippo Marine offers a very well-established range of fenders designed to enable safe ship-to-quay and ship-to-ship berthing operations. These have been manufactured at our UK production facility and supplied to customers world-wide for over 15 years. The use of closed cell foams for the fender core, which have high compressive strengths, results in an ability to absorb a great deal of energy during operation. This is complemented by low reaction forces, making berthing operations easier - especially in difficult conditions. Hippo fenders are unsinkable even if damaged beyond repair. This feature gives the operator great peace of mind when it comes to ensuring both ships and berthing facilities are protected at all times. Our foam fenders are designed to be virtually maintenance-free.
