A polypropylene co-polymer has all the attributes of a standard polypropylene rope. The advantage of the co-polymer is it enhances the abrasion resistance and significantly increases the breaking load. This makes an economical option to staple PP and polyamides.

Features and benefits:

  • White with red marker strands
  • Abrasion resistant
  • Excellent shock absorption
  • UV stabilised
  • Excellent shape retention – easily spliced
  • No reduction in strength when wet
  • Specific gravity – 0.91 floats
  • No water absorption
  • 165°C melting point
  • Excellent chemical resistance to acid and alkali
  • 8/12 strand supplied with protected eye each end
  • Certification – 3/4 strand – certificate confirming MBL 8/12 strand – Germanischer Lloyd 3rd party certificate

  • Specific gravity- 1.14 sinks
  • Melting point 215°C
  • Supplied with protected eye each end 6ft eye splicing (six tucks)
  • Soft lay
  • Canvas covered eyes at both ends
  • Certification- Lloyd's register
Ocean 100% nylon (polyamide) eight strand mooring tails are often used in operations which require elasticity. They are fitted to the shore end of a wire or UHMWPE mooring lines used by vessels (oil tankers and VLCC) to absorb shock loads. Nylon (polyamide) is used to manufacture these tails as it is strong and elastic.
  • White colour with two red tracers
  • Excellent abrasion resistance
  • Excellent shock absorption
  • High strength
  • Specific gravity- 1.14 sinks
  • Melting point 215°C
  • 2m canvas covered eyes at both ends
  • Soft lay
