JF Fendercare has a range of high-quality fairleads for various mooring and anchoring applications.

James Fisher Fendercare’s (JF Fendercare) range of high-quality fairleads are designed to handle heavy use and high working loads safely.

Our fairleads are high-strength and robust, allowing the smooth passage of mooring lines and help to reduce friction and wear on your marine ropes and/or cables.

Our high quality fairleads

Fairleads are typically used in more dynamic mooring scenarios, such as offshore mooring, where a vessel may need to adapt to changing conditions as they provide greater flexibility and control of line movements. For fixed mooring arrangements, such as port and terminal berthing, mooring chocks are preferred.

JF Fendercare’s range of high-quality fairleads

Our multi-angle fairleads have two vertical rollers and two horizontal rollers in a standard design which can be used to change the direction of ropes, allowing them to safely navigate any obstacles and prevent snagging or accidental damage.  Finished in proprietary primer, meeting ISO 13733 or JIS F 2006 standards, they’re ready for immediate installation.

Our team of expert designers can also easily adapt these designs to meet your specifications.

Roller fairleads (also known as warping fairleads) are typically used where lines are guided in a vertical orientation, such as anchor lines, and are used to maintain the correct tension.

Our roller fairleads are manufactured to international standards (for example ISO 13776). Designed for a breaking strength of wire with a 180-degree wrap on the roller, they're constructed from cast iron with a self-lubricating synthetic bearing, offering a long trouble-free operating life.

The rollers can be supplied with or without circular base or pedestals, which can be fabricated to bespoke height requirements either conical or cylindrical in shape.

Our heavy-duty single or double sheave swivel head fairleads offer a variety of sizes suitable for use in most deck-mounted or flange-mounted applications. Swivel head fairleads are predominantly used to guide wire rope or anchor chains due to their increased breaking strength.
