FPSO floating hose change for Modec

Fendercare was contracted by Modec to provide a specialised workforce to carry out the floating hose change for Floating Platform Storage Offshore (FPSO) Kwame Nkrumah.

Services provided

Assembly of the new floating hose string consisting of 22” x 20” hoses, 20” x 16” reducing Y-Piece, 12” x 16” hoses tails
Leak test of the new hose
Launching and towing of the new hose to the FPSO
Disconnection of the old hose from the FPSO
Installation of the new hose
Disassembly and cleaning of the old hose offshore
OCIMF testing of all used hoses
Placement of all equipment into long term storage
