Providing mooring buoy systems for ExxonMobil

Fendercare’s high-quality mooring buoy systems offer reduced maintenance and come with full after-care support.

Awarded a contract in August 2013, Fendercare supplied two mooring buoy systems to ExxonMobil Chemical Ltd. The 9T foam-filled mooring buoys, for use off the coast of Rio de Janerio, Brazil, came complete with fully certified quick-release mooring hooks, chain swivel and sinker as well as an anchor and chains. Specially designed to require minimal maintenance, the systems save operators and owners time and resources.

Tailor-made to ExxonMobil’s specific requirements, each system also came with supplementary full project support and documentation including detailed calculations and technical workings which were presented digitally as well as in hard copy for ultimate flexibility.

The strong service-led approach Fendercare brought to the project ensured the successful relationship with ExxonMobil continues to grow from strength to strength. The project is expected to be completed by mid-May 2014 and is estimated to be worth over $800,000.
